HILLVIEW History
Hillview Church of God was planted in Western Wyandotte County in 1964 by the late Rev. Jack G. Harvey, who was inspired by God's Word, Isaiah 43:19 which begins, "See, I am doing a new thing!" And so began a small community of believers to cross cultural boundaries of race,age,social standing, and ethnicity to share our faith and experience in Jesus Christ. Hillview operates as a non-denominational church, and can best be described as a Christ-centered, community church open to all peoples. Pastor Dexter White has served as Pastor of Hillview since October 17, 1999. Because we are a multi-cultural fellowship, you can invite anyone to Hillview. Pastor Dexter has made prayer a priority at Hillview as we try to put Christ at the Center of everything we do. Pastor Dexter encourages all to believe and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. His favorite scripture is Psalm 34:8 "Taste and See That The Lord Is Good".
